The Industrial Revolution
The industrial revolution began in Britain and spread throughout the world. When the industrial revolution happened, it had changed human life drastically. There was a big population growth because of the previews agricultural boom. People left farms to work in cities. A lot changed in the way goods were produced, machines such as steam engines and textile machines were invented which replaced human labor, transportation and communication had also improved. There was an increase in the number of goods and the diversity of the good being produced. Investments in new technologies was being made and even the government had interest in promoting new inventions.
In the manufacturing world there were poor working conditions, child labor, the handicraftsmen were replaced by machines and industrialization. Towns were being over populated with bad condition of housing, because of the ‘’enclosures act’’ farmers had abounded the countryside so they could go work in mines and factories in the city. Before the industrial revolution products were produced in small workshops or at homes but then things changed and products were being massed produced with low quality and without any craftsmanship.
